Stuck to our usual routine but reversed it; black lion first (12) for some grub and a couple of pints before wandering down to the Greyhound for another few.
Walk from the greyhound is decent, cut back around abbey road DLR station, cross the main road and you are into the back of Pudding Mill lane. Avoids the crush at Stratford also.

The plough was very good. Pie and mash, BBQ and a beer machine that pulls 4 pints in 8.5 seconds.
Lots of room and full of West Ham.
It's no East Ham working mans club though.
Felt like I was a non football day out. Plus Hackney brewery lager gives me the shits.

Hackney Wick was great in the sun before the game.
Crate, Trumans then The Plough. All great and all full of West Ham.

Had a good pub crawl along the Old Ford Road pre-match.
Started in the Palm Tree at Mile End proper old school boozer.
Then the Crown, the Morpeth and the Eleanor arms.
Crown's a bit poncey but the other two well worth a visit.

Went to the Black Lion yesterday and it was fucking EMPTY. We left the pub at 3-10, got the bus to Stratford, and was in the ground at 3-45.That's 35 minutes. Only 15 minutes longer than it used to take us to get to Upton Park.So why have so many Black Lion regulars deserted this great pub for the sake of 15 fucking minutes?? Felt sorry for the staff and Tom.

The Queens Head charging a fiver to get in after the game cos they had some band on, place was half empty and loads of people were walking away cos of the entry fee. Fucking stupid, lost loads of custom

Nipped in the Builders for a couple. Was alright in there.
Loads were heading for the carpenters as well. It'll all sort itself out in a couple of months. We're spoilt for choice now all over the gaff.
